EDM Nightlife in 2015

Here we are, people.. 2015! The new year of course means new projects, ideas, maybe even resolutions.. We’ve been hiding out for a while, re-evaluating what we’d like to do to turn larger profits while maintaining our current business model… We finally found the answer: NOTHING! We’re changing it all!

A new year, a new EDM Nightlife

For the sake of clarity, here is a quick breakdown of the old us.. EDM Nightlife has always had the same goal: cover quality artists all on the same page, keep the pure old-school methods while going with the new.. Very vague but that’s pretty much it. Bottom line is, we’re not a charity project. There is of course an initial phase where you do lots of promo to properly spread the word about your company and we did plenty of that in 4 years. Our business model was based on our numbers. Make money from advertisement and not directly from our clients. We’ve always had a production-for-hire side, but having to do that along with our promo was tough and sometimes impossible… At some point I asked myself: Is this ever going to work? Well, it could have, with the proper investment… I personally went down the investment-search road and got some interesting offers, but it all comes with a price. Usually changing who we are, how we do things or just “simply” giving away half of us… We will not be owned by anyone, so here’s the new EDM Nightlife business model:

From January 1st of 2015 (but actually 4-5 months earlier), we’re developing actual entertainment products to sell. What are these products? Apps, software, games… Basically, interactive software for entertainment purposes, strictly in the same context: Electronic Dance Music (EDM). The culture, the music, the artists, the labels, the fans, etc. The life of EDM. Sounds cool? It is.

For now, that is all I will say. Lastly, we now have a second home as well: Austin, TX. A great booming city with lots of potential. Though our Las Vegas arm is still very active, I found that Austin is a more suitable city to work on software. Naturally, any decent software will take time to make, we’re shooting for the end of the year before we can release anything..

Thanks for reading, the site will see more articles as well, come back and see how we’re doing from time-to-time..
